My hubby finds it silly for me to post photos of the new food i've made and alas I keep forgetting.
Regardless I have been still trying new food. The other day I made Sesame Chicken w/o the Sesame seeds - didn't want to run to the store for that. Overall it was good. Not enough Honey per DH comment however the honey wasn't so cooperative and I got tired of waiting for it, so it didn't get a lot.
Last night we had Polish Kielbasa, never had it before. Usually I prefer Ring Bologna but thought I would go for a different flavor. I actually like the Kielbasa better, the texture of meat is different from the two along with a little of the flavor just in case you wanted to know.
Next up will be a Panini of some sort. The recipe I have is for chicken, so we'll see what the cupboards have when I get to it. Hopefully photo will be gotten.
Happy eating!

Chicken & Rice
January 16
Tonight's dinner was taken off Campbell's website. Chicken and Rice Bake. It was OK, pretty bland. I'm sure it could have been spiced up a little bit other than with Pepper and Paprika. I even went so far as to add in a can of whole kernel corn just to give it some veggie and color. Recipe is chicken breasts, rice, can of Broccoli Cheese soup, water, pepper, paprika. Like I said boring. Next time I would add some mushroom slices, onion, garlic, cheese - any kind, even some for the top. I would also flatten the chicken, mine were thick so it required turning them over to get them to cook thoroughly, ruined the browning effect.
I'll add a photo later, Happy Cooking!

Intro to Food Horizion
Greetings. 2014 seems to be the year to really go out on a limb, try to expand my horizons, and perhaps adjust the internal quirks to be a better me. I have several ideas and may even post them all for you to follow if you wish. This one is related to food. I have quite a few cookbooks. 12 I have given away, the ones that remain, 15 or so in various forms, need to be used to be kept. Go Minimalization!!
My initial thought that sparked this was to buy The Chew's cookbook that had a 100 recipes, thinking I could make 1 new dish a week, but then after looking at my own stash I changed my mind. I still would like the book but it will have to be a later purchase. With that, maybe 1 new dish a week, was not really making an effort....so it's at LEAST 1 new dish, meaning never before made by me, or more. I'll take a photo and perhaps inspire you to try something new this year. Worse case we all get sick; best I learn to cook or just prep food, a little better.
Hearty Eating!!
Trena
P.s. I have the dishes I've already made listed on Google+.
